This page will guide you through completing your account for a better online experience with the Michigan Lottery, which includes preparing for making deposits and how to submit withdrawal requests to claim your winnings with ease.

Verifying Payment Methods

To make the deposit and withdrawal processes go smoothly, we suggest that you provide any required documentation ahead of time. This ensures our system and accounting team can confirm deposits are valid and winnings are issued to the correct person.

If you’ve added payment methods to your account, or plan to add a payment method, please review the list of required documents that may be needed to verify your preferred payment method, then follow the steps listed below:

    1. Login to your account at https://www.michiganlottery.com/

    2. When login a desktop computer or tablet select My Account, by clicking on your name at the top. When using a mobile phone, simply log in and select My Account from the menu.

    3. Find the Tools section and select Secure Document Upload.

    4. Please follow the directions listed on the screen. We request that you name your documents according to what you are scanning (e.g. Please Void Check, Financial Institution Letter, Credit Card, etc).

Bank Information (ACH - Bank Transfer)

To ensure that funds are being taken from and issued to the correct owner, we will need to verify account ownership. To verify, please provide the following:

  • A color copy of your government issued ID (driver's license, state issued ID, passport, etc.), and
  • A letter from your financial institution, which includes the account holder's full name, current address, account number and the financial institution's routing number. This letter must be on financial institution's letterhead, or
  • A voided check, which includes the account holder's name, account number and the financial institution's routing number.
Deposit slips and/or deposit tickets are not accepted for account verification. Prepaid accounts such as NetSpend, GreenDot, etc. are not acceptable payment methods.

Credit / Debit Cards

To ensure that funds are being taken from the correct owner, we will need to verify account ownership. To verify, please provide the following:

  • A color copy of your government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state-issued ID, passport, etc.).
  • A copy of the card.
    • The Cardholder’s name, expiration date and the last 4 digits of the card number must be clearly visible. You may hide any other details.
If the credit/debit card has a name other than your own, please provide the following documents:

  • A color copy of your government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state-issued ID, passport, etc.).
  • A copy of the card.
    • The Cardholder’s name, expiration date and the last 4 digits of the card number must be clearly visible. You may hide any other details.
  • A color copy of the Cardholder’s government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state-issued ID, passport, etc.).
  • A Letter of Consent from the Cardholder authorizing your use of this credit card. View printable letter of consent*.
*Please print the ‘Letter of Consent’ form, complete the required information and ensure the letter includes the original signature of both parties.

PayPal Account

To ensure that funds are being taken from and issued to the correct owner, we will need to verify account ownership. To verify, please provide the following:

  • A color copy of your government issued ID (driver’s license, state issued ID, passport, etc.).
PayPal requires that you’ve previously made a deposit into your Michigan Lottery account using this account before it will be available for withdrawing winnings.

Additionally, your PayPal account must be linked to your bank account.

Withdrawal of Winnings

Once you’ve received $10 or more in winnings, you have the ability to submit a withdrawal request. To submit a withdrawal request, please follow the steps listed below:

  • When using a desktop computer or tablet select My Account, by clicking your name at the top. Find the Details section and select Withdraw Funds.
  • When using a mobile phone, simply log in and select Withdraw Funds from the menu.
  • You can select one of the following options to withdraw winnings:
    • ACH - Bank Transfer
      • Transfer to your bank account
      • Upon approval, funds are deposited within 3 - 5 business days
      • Minimum Amount per request - $10
      • Maximum Amount per request - $50,000
      • See above for documentation requirements
    • Check (not initially available online)
      • Please call Customer Support at 1-844-887-6836 to request a check
      • This process adds a few extra days for issuing and mailing of the check
      • Minimum Amount per request - $10
      • Maximum Amount per request - $50,000
      • Required documentation, if not already provided, a color copy of your government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state-issued ID, passport, etc.)
    • Withdraw to Visa Debit
      • Transfer to your Visa Debit card - must be attached to a U.S. Bank account
      • Upon approval, funds are deposited within one (1) business day or less
      • Minimum Amount per request - $10
      • Maximum Amount per request - $2,000
      • Total number of requests allowed per day - 5
      • Total amount allowed per day - $10,000
      • Total number of requests allowed per week - 10
      • Total amount allowed per week - $20,000

    • ACH - Bank Transfer
      • Transfer to your bank account
      • Upon approval, funds are deposited within 3 - 5 business days
      • Minimum Amount per request - $10
      • Maximum Amount per request - $50,000

    • Withdraw at Retail
      • Request a Withdraw Voucher
      • Upon approval, a Withdraw Voucher is available to print immediately
      • Withdraw Voucher must be printed from your account and may be taken to any Lottery retailer and redeemed for cash
      • Minimum Amount per request - $10
      • Maximum Amount per request - $200
      • Total number of requests allowed per day - 10
      • Withdraw Vouchers automatically expire after 30 days from the date of issuance. The issued and expiration dates are listed on the voucher. Once expired, the voucher will no longer be valid and the funds will be deposited back into your account balance.
      • Required documentation, if not already provided, a color copy of your government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state-issued ID, passport, etc.)
  • After selecting your withdrawal option, follow the directions on the screen.
In order for withdrawal requests to be approved, you may be required to submit documentation. You will receive an email detailing exactly what you need to provide after you submit your request.

If you haven’t already done so, please provide the following documentation listed below within seven (7) days of your withdrawal request submission:
  • A color copy of your government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state-issued ID, passport, etc.)
  • Required documentation per payment method mentioned above. If you've recently made deposits using more than one payment method, please ensure to include all required documentation for all payment methods used.
Withdrawal requests may remain pending for up to two (2) business days for initial processing. Once initial processing is complete and all required documentation has been received and reviewed, you will receive an email stating your withdrawal request has been approved. Refer above for the estimated processing time to receive your funds.
